Gliss. extending over barline

Hi forum.
What's the standard practice for this situation:
Gliss. starts in middle of 1st m. and extends to middle of 2nd m.?

If the final note of the gliss. and the rest in the upper staff were aligned vertically, it would be fine as written. Gould ("Behind Bars" p. 145) suggests placing a small note of the proper duration above the staff (possibly in parentheses) to show the duration of the gliss. within the second measure. In your case, however, the tied note in the upper staff functions like such a small note, and you are good to go.

I understand the notation you posted, but it seems somehow odd to me (
particularly held half note and you get from one voice into two voices).
Usually in the "harp glissando music", the rests play very much roll where to start and how. It is a special notation, not the common one, and harpists know how to solve it.
