NOTATIO

You cannot play harmonics on the open string, therefore I would suggest writing the first note from which you want to start the harmonics. That would be an A or A♭. You could perhaps put it in parentheses.

And as John said, it is the upward-pointing triangle that represents the “highest” pitch ...

Let's say you wanted to notate a natural harmonic gliss going from the bottom of the string, to an indefinite high point on the string, and then back down again.

What would be the best way to notate this, without writing an exact note for the highest point?

How would you format a tempo indication like this for maximum legibility? Would you put it on two lines?

I am engraving an Oboe + Piano Score. It will be A4, and the Piano and Oboe system on the full score must share the same staff size.

If I want to fir 4 systems on one page, I can set the staff size to 6.2mm at most.

I'm not sure what the standard is for this. I find 6.2mm a little small, and wish ...

The fff sub. is actually meant to be on the first grace notes. Using the solution suggested by OCTO, this is what I have so far. I feel like I've still done an amateur job, but it's better than what came before at least.

I was wondering if anybody could offer any suggestions for this bar here. I find every way of slurring quite clunky, and I haven't really developed an 'eye' for engraving slurs yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. The middle chord isn't meant to be slurred. This ...
