Re: Spatial piece
I do agree with John that the lines in fermata measures in Peter's example is not the best way to notate it. But I want to point one thing which for me makes sense: During the XX century we see development of musical structures in amazing ways. An example is Ferneyhough and Penderecki (earlier works...

Re: Fingerings
It might be something very special with the guitar scores. I don't expect this in a violin score, but hey, I was just amazed that I have never noticed this...

[Lilypond] Font sizes
I have question regarding font sizes in LP:
Why do we have in Lilypond different font sizes? Can't be just one, as it is with the standard music fonts, as Sonata?

Re: Flat slurs
The problem of Finale's middle point (blue) is that it is useful for changing two handles at the same time, but it doesn't do anything particularly to change the shape. If that one could be moved downwards, keeping side-points fast (red) it could breake and maybe flatten the slur. I believe that if ...

Flat slurs
So far, only SCORE and manually engraved scores support flat slurs. IMO, slurs should have ability to be flatten in the case when the curve goes to off, making an improper BW-balance: A 2015-11-04 at 11.14.02 AM.png To avoid this, slurs should be able to be flatten in the middle of their shape: flat...

Fantastic old scores' simulation + fonts
Our friend Wess has posted on his Dropbox examples of his own font collections, with examples. What I find fascinating is his meticulous simulation of old scores - I guess just for this purpose. Thank you both RMK and John: I will do as you have proposed, everything you have said seems to be very logical.
