Re: How do PMs work here?

Ok, sorry, just found the previous message explaining that it stays in Outbox until it is opened by recipient.
If a moderator wants to delete this thread, please go ahead, as it is clearly redundant.

Re: How much to pay a proofreader?

Hello Chris, I'm sure I am late to the party here, but I have just launched a dedicated proof-reading service in my general music engraving activity. It is both a musical and a specifically engraving-quality proofreading service, according to the needs of the composer/arranger/else... Ever since get...

How do PMs work here?

I have sent a PM to a user a few days ago and it is correctly stored in the Sent Messages folder. Yesterday I tried another PM to another user and it is still in the Outbox folder. I tried again to compose it and send it via the Submit button, and now I have 2 messages in the Outbox. Are they sent o...

Contemporary (and more) music engraving on Sibelius, Dorico (IT, FR, EN)

Dear all, I have been a professional score designer & music engraver for 11 years, with a—if we can call it so—specialisation in contemporary music. I also have a cellist background (MAM degree). Since 2011 I have been the personal engraver of Swiss composer William Blank and, since 2014, I have...

Re: Dvorak Cello Concerto publication

Just to clarify, you mean your respect for Henle editing took a hit in the negative sense? Sorry for not replying earlier, somehow I didn't see the notification. Yes, the overall quality of Henle editing seems to be declining in recent editions. I am no native English speaker so I have no idea what...

Never heard of it!
Is some kind of Wiener Urtext collaboration between Universal Edition & I think Schott or ... what else?

It is a plenty of space, and not difficult to read.
My ignorance: what is NE size? I mean, is it the shortening of something?

Re: Dvorak Cello Concerto publication

From the previews available on the website, my very high respect for Henle's engraving practices got a strong hit.
Besides, I am a cellist so that means I have my memory going through all other editions while looking at it.

Re: Rhythm question please

Definitely the second one.
Syncopes are standard rhythm and easily recognisable, besides looking much better than tied notes!
