I am kinda interested with the output result of this piece of software that i've never used. This guy is really amazing, he also shares his works for public.

the font looks like the one that Sher music is using, the combination of its own clef with opus's noteflag

At first glance, the beam stems look too tall.
Isn't it ancient legacy software? The article is from 1986 !

Re: HB Music Engraver
I've seen this used on ancient computer scores from the 90s. I think most users had to write in the lyrics by hand with it.
Definitely not a fan of the output.

As an aside, some guitarists don't like Thorlaksson's arrangements.

It would be nice to find a web site showcasing old notation programs with examples of interface and output. Professional Composer / Composer's Mosaic. Igor Engraver, Personal Composer, Amadeus / Vivaldi. http://www.acadiau.ca/~gcallon/www/others.htm has others.

Re: HB Music Engraver
I can't remember the site policy on resurrecting old threads - my apologies in advance if I'm committing a faux pas.
I'm trying to get HB Engraver running on a Classic Mac OS emulator using a collection of rather fragmented backups from the 90s. I've got it going successfully, but I can't generate PostScript output because I think I'm missing (or have corrupted files of) some of the PostScript Type 1 fonts.
Does anyone still have access to this, and if so, could they share the Interlude Type 1 font with me?

Re: HB Music Engraver
Have you asked the Guitar School in Iceland if they would share it?

Re: HB Music Engraver
I was able to recreate the font, based on very minimal resources

I think it's not quite the same though.

Thanks for the tip about the Iceland school, John - I've just emailed them.
