Hi. Anyone know how to write this in an effective, visually clear way? Every way I write it, my teachers tell me it's not legible.

Ask your teachers what they recommend! 
This is what Dorico does by default:
What's the tempo? (How fast is a sixteenth in performance?) If I were reading from it, I'd definitely mark the beat points above the staff anyway.
