addendum: I understand that guitar music is a niche, and not often covered in style manuals, but if anyone can point me to a manual with good coverage regarding guitar idiosyncracies, I'd be grateful!

BTW, I usually use Kurt Stone and Gardner Read as my reference books, but there is very little regarding guitar issues in them.

Gould's Behind Bars has more on guitar-specific notation than do Ross or Read.
