Thanks again, Dirck, for your examples. There seems to be different scordatura notation practices for bowed string instruments and guitar. Should not the circled 1 in the "Lento, lontano" piece equal d¹ instead of d?

Yes, it probably should. I think the circled strings are redundant anyway, since the ambitus gives all the information needed.

OK, I believe it is not necessary to specify that extension. Let's hear what the string players here on Notatio say.

That is interesting...i didnt know what was standard.

My original questions still remain: "How to treat scordatura in a conductor's score?"

I'm not much of a conductor, but I think I'd rather see sounding pitches in the score. If the tuning was really weird, would an ossia staff be used? One staff mirroring the bowed string part, and the other sounding pitches?
