I saw a score in our office the other day and being nosy, flipped through it - it was printed on modern day copy paper and so thin you could see the next page showing through...talk about blurry!
The tyranny of cheap white 20# "copy paper" has driving-out so many options. Even 24# paper is getting difficult to obtain. I use 11x17" ledger paper in my civilian job, and some STAPLES don't even stock that anymore. I've been buying half-cases on Amazon just to be sure I have a reserve on-hand.
I used to use 28# linen laid paper for important mailed correspondence. Who mails anymore? Everything is email .PDF attachments anymore. I don't even FedEx Overnight...
