2 questions about score appearance in Finale

Post by skellysauce »

1. How do I get rid of the grey alignment lines in my score? 2. How do I fix the measures so that they don't continue off the page and instead go to the next system?

The answer to the first is View menu > Show > deselect Margins.

The answer to the second is likely to be ‘Update layout’. You should have Automatic Update Layout selected in Preferences > Edit. There's no good reason to have it deselected, which is a hangover from the days of slower computers.

In general you would probably be better asking such Finale specific questions at https://www.finaleforum.com/ rather than here.

Thanks for the response. I did have automatic layout update selected, and I deselected it then re-selected but it unfortunately didn't fix it.

Try selecting all and if on a Mac key command U or the equivalent on Windows.

Actually I was able to fix it by doing "Fit Measures." Thank you
