I am trying to send a private message to someone on the forum, but don't know if it's actually been sent or not.
when I look at my message box, there's one in "Outgoing", but the "Sent" section says 0% with no message there.
is a message in the "Outgoing" box already sent? or do I have to do something special to actually send it?
private message question

Re: private message question
I'm going to try to send a private message to you & see whether or not it shows as sent.

Re: private message question
I've now sent it and get the same as you. If you receive it all should be OK.

Re: private message question
I did get your PM. except again, it says it's in the "Outbox" but there's nothing in the "Sent" box.
So I can't tell if it's been sent or not.

Yes, it's odd; but at least they do seem to go, as I got yours to me almost instantly.

Re: private message question
I think it stays in the "Outbox" until it's been opened by the recipient, then it moves to "Sent." Sort of a counterintuitive system, but it does allow you to delete or modify a message that hasn't been read yet.
Re: private message question
ah, interesting.
thank-you Fred.
