The slurs are the giveaway. The note spacing is too good (not saying much) to be Sibelius, I can't imagine them using MuseScore, and it's definitely not LilyPond.

I think all programs can be forced to listen to a good editor/engraver. I have managed to get quite good results with MuseScore. But I guess it is no-no for Bärenreiter.
I believe this is Finale.
And yes, slurs are definitely not good. Reminds me of Sibelius (default).

I agree that MuseScore has basically surpassed Finale's default output. My comment was more that Baerenreiter would probably balk at using an open-source program and go with something commercial.

Here are two slur examples from the Baerenreiter op. 54.

White space killers, and they don't mesh with the beams. Has the engraver never seen well-engraved music of the past? Or is the engraver in a hurry? Is there no one left at Baerenreiter who has an eye for music engraving? Have plate engravers ever been consulted by designers of software? Many questions.

In my opinion it looks just OK, but nothing particularly beautiful. I would do it differently.

How well I remember that one, DatOranistTho. Not my cup of tea at all. Among other things, there is too much room between the treble and bass staves, forced by the too long stems in the middle voices, and the whole page looks crowded. This makes for very unpleasant reading.

Ironically looks better than their Finale output, though still nothing to write home about.

Whether or not you like the engraving is beside the point.

The point I'm making is that MuseScore is at least capable of adhering to professional style guides (albeit, with lots of tweaking).

It is at least readable, compared to default output in Finale, or MuseScore, for that matter.

I do think MuseScore is a fantastic software, equally capable to notate whatever Finale can.
I don't say MS is no-no for Bärenreiter, but I think they could do it somehow more tight (exactly what John says above).
