This reminds me of a commission from decades ago when I was asked to recreate Thespis. Knowing Sullivan's remark that he had recycled its tunes in later opera, I did a serviceable job of guesswork on it but found the prime entertainment to be the comparison with later works and not the work itself. Mine was never staged and I'm glad of it.

Thanks, Mike. Yes, I am also less enthused. At this point, we are still not able to completely analyze a great piece of music. How could we could we possibly produce one mechanically? And if this is a serious exercise, they should start with something small.
