I've never been mobbed by an audience after a concert before!

I really do try to notate as clearly and as "standard" as I can, though I may fall a bit short many times.
Being a performer as well, I can easily put myself in front of the music stands and see whether what I notated is clear and easily understood.
So I end up relying on Gould, my own library of scores, and the good and knowledgeable people here at Notat.io.
