I agree with this.
If you are even slightly worried this could get overlooked and cause lost time in rehearsals, add a parenthesised sharp above the stave.

I think in this case it would be a small articulation-like accidental, under the staff (since it's the down-stem voice that could cause an issue), at the stem end or below the notehead.
I'll look and see what the end result gives.

Yes, sorry, I had lost the context, below the stave and small!

how do we feel about parentheses?
should I use them in this context? or just the accidental?

annoyingly, I've made a playback technique for the accidental, and removing the parentheses respaces things so that the little sharp symbol ends up immediately next to the :piano dynamic. So I get :piano :s, and it looks terrible.

with the parentheses, the dynamic is placed a bit lower since the left open parenthesis takes up a bit more room.

This is what I came up with as a resolution.
Do you guys see this as acceptable?

IMO totally unnecessary and just adds clutter.

Sorry, but I have to agree.
If anything it would raise unnecessary questions because it's way out of the ordinary.

It is instantly understood, however.

Maybe, and maybe not. An experienced reader might possibly trip over this and wonder if something out of the ordinary is intended.

Another point is that the extra accidental might appear too didactic, not trusting the musician to understand what's self-evident.

When I work with composers as an engraver, I appreciate when they make their intentions clear, obviously, but I've found that exaggerated clarity can be as disturbing as a lack of it.
