Measure numbers in parts in Dorico

Hi folks,

After an afternoon of nudging measure numbers around in Finale, I was hoping someone would be able to provide some insight as to how Dorico handles the issue.

Specifically, this would be a player's part where each measure is numbered.

Thanks!

Why don't you download the demo and see for yourself?

Measure Numbers in Dorico are astoundingly simple, and can be adjusted easily to be at the same Y-height across a line, or not.

What do you have in mind?

Here's a short sample in Finale. You can see items that had to be nudged are marked in gold.

Dorico sort of places things without you having to nudge them (though you still can fine tune if you want.)

Excuse the font sizes, I didn't match them to the sizes you used in your image.

I also think there's an adjustment for the placement of the bar number so that it's more to the left, more centered, or more to the right.

@hautbois baryton did you not want an answer to your question?

Thank you Michel! I like that it seems to be more automatic in Dorico, as opposed to Finale - which slavishly puts things only exactly where it is specified.
