OK, I think I've brought this font to some kind of working order. There are now 828 glyphs, so enough to cope with a range of music.
I'd say the essential character of the font is for clear numerals and alphabet-based symbols: dynamics, C, etc. It's not as heavy as Bravura, but not as washed out as some of the early computer fonts.
Let me know what you think.

Installed but it doesn't work for me. I only get squares not notation at all.

Works here. What platform are you on? Have you restarted Dorico? You may even have to restart on Windows, I believe.

Re: Sebastian SMuFL font
And the font is installed in your system? Does it show in other apps? (The font is Finale-compatible, too.)
I've reinstalled it here, and it seems fine. You may need to clear your font cache.

Nice job, Ben! Even starting with a font that has a bunch of symbols, creating enough to add up to 800+ is a big task!

Re: Sebastian SMuFL font
I like more Sebastian than Bravura, actually. Well done.
Questions:
- have you edited the natural symbol? It seems a bit vertically compressed/emboldened in comparison to the sharp, so that the angle is not the same, and the stems are bolder. Nothing "wrong" in it, just I don't feel comfortable. Also both are not equally centered: - also the half-notehead reminds me too much Petrucci. Is it possible to use another variant found in Sebastian, such as it is on "F" (on the left)? - as a matter of taste as well, I would compress the double flat, and remove the emboldened upper stem: - Perhaps this version of the flat symbol, the stem is slowly emboldened toward the top: The flags are wonderful, and nicely positioned.

No: I edited the sharp! I made the crossbars a little thicker and more angled. I can see that the natural should match.OCTO wrote: ↑27 Jan 2021, 11:43 Questions:

Yes, the half still needs some thought.
Yes. I didn't touch that, but it does need some attention.
I was talking to Florian this morning about this!
Thank you. The flags and rests are probably the bit I did the most 'artistic' work on.
