Re: SCORE 3.1 [Looking to Buy]
I have been pining for SCORE for some time, and I'm not sure you'll find anyone willing to part with it. Besides, there is the EULA which may/may not stipulate that you may not transfer licenses. But, this doesn't matter, since you are outta' luck. Leland Smith died several years ago and his estate...

SCORE 3.1 [Looking to Buy]
Hi all, I've recently been in contact with a publishing company about doing some engraving work and the owner wants me to try and get SCORE 3.1, as that is what they prefer to use. If anyone has SCORE 3.1 and is willing to sell the disk to me or knows someone that is willing to sell the disk, please...

Re: [puzzle] Two voices in one staff
ah ok, I see. Thanks, OCTO! I don't have much experience with graphic apps as I can get what I basically want in Finale, but it seems there is a great advantage here. I was considering getting an Adobe product for a while but the subscription model is really off-putting.

Re: [puzzle] Two voices in one staff
Anyone interested in sharing the technique for having the tie not pass through the notehead? Is there a plug-in involved?

Re: What Software Does MusicNotes.com Use?
From what I know of Graphire, it is possible to use custom fonts. But, you can't exactly design a brace like you can in Finale. You can adjust the line weight, width of the center (among a few other settings), similar to how Sibelius handles brace settings. There's quite a bit of music published wit...

Re: What Software Does MusicNotes.com Use?
A sample from musicnotes.com with a choir bracket. Definitely not a Finale choir bracket. Possibly SCORE?

Re: What Software Does MusicNotes.com Use?
Knut, Are your sure about the brace? Finale has a scaling issue with with different stave heights. In the score above, the brace is scaled perfectly (compare 1st system with others) and doesn't get distorted like a Finale brace would. I guess it could be avoided if you entered the brace as an expres...
