Hi all,
On page 221 of Gould's "Behind Bars", it says
"POSITION ON THE STAVE:
A tremolo of only one stroke intersects a staff line."
I am trying to do this with a melody of stroked 8th notes beamed in threes, (each note sounding as 16th notes). If anyone knows of a good published example of this notation, that'd be extra cool as I would like to study the positioning of the strokes, particularly with respect to the contour of the melody.
Thanks and cheerio,
Hector.

Re: Single slash on note stem
Upon looking at some scores, I see that most don't adopt the rule about a single tremolo stroke on a stem having to intersect a staff line. Also, I am seeing that Kurt Stone page 148 last paragraph appears to place a stroke in a space on occasion.
