There's also the way that names are presented backwards in Italy: "Calogero, Salvatore".

I don't get it, both Calogero and Salvatore can be first names.
Did you want to say that we present first and last name in a non-common order?

I guess it depends from the context. If you're looking into an encyclopedia or phone book, of course it will be last+first name.
On a book's cover, it is first+last name.
So... yes, it depends :-D

True. It’s incorrect, though (see https://accademiadellacrusca.it/it/cons ... %2520Rossi). Notwithstanding, a lot of people use that form when writing pseudo-formal documents (even private documents) - and sometimes even when speaking. I think this use is more frequent in southern Italy.
