:) :) Anyone looking for a sex tour is going to be bitterly disappointed.

Poulenc's "Sextour" is prolific when one does a web search. Perhaps these too will soon be taken down.

Haha! I think the reason is because in Danish "sex" means 6.

But, "Sryinx" - I can't even pronounce it. :)

Let me check if Archive.org has the latest snapshot. That must be screenshoted!

What if Poulenc's Sex Tour is a completely different work from his Sextour? Posthumous? Known to just a few, like Hansen?

His Sex tour is known only to a few because it was banned soon after publication. :)

Well, it is now quite clear what step one in proofreading should be. ;)

Bumping this older thread because I picked up a neat little book published in 1915 called "Music Book Printing" that has a good summary of the proofreading markings of the time. Most of these are still used!

You must love used book stores as much as I do.

I wish I were as disciplined in proofreading as in that book, and that is the main problem.

Haha! Around here we joke that the definition of proofreading is, "Musicians silently staring at music while questioning their life choices." ;)

A little gallows humor can be fun every now and then, especially after too many long days of proofing.

Black humour is the spice of life, isn't it?! ;)
In any case, yes, I often question my life choice when I wonder whether that slur's shoulder is too steep or not!

By the way, where more or less is "here" for you?!
