TBH, I'm not a big fan of it. It's a bit too crisp and clean!

I agree it is too clean and sharp
and also am still looking for a SMUFL converter script for fontforge :( trying to rebuild my own font to SMUFL

I wonder if nobody ever made a glyphtable mapping Lilypond => SMuFL ?

Not even every font for Finale followed the Maestro mapping, so I doubt there's much demand for such a script.
It doesn't take long to copy all the symbols over -- but there's plenty more to be done after that!
