The staves are too far apart in the Dorico versions for the reason mentioned previously: the stems of the inner voices are too long. Everything is correct in the LilyPond version (except for the non-authentic breaking of the secondary beams.) A lot of meaningless empty space between the two staves of a grand staff makes the musical content harder to take in at once. The staves should look "forced" apart by what is going on between the staves. And what is going on between the staves must often be vertically compressed.
